The Location

Crystalbrook Lodge is located 180km west of Cairns in Far North Queensland on the historical 85,000 acre Crystalbrook Station. Established in the late 1800s to supply meat to mining camps in the Chillagoe area, the station is still operational today and produces prime Brangus cattle.

Surrounded by nothing but bush country, you wake to gourmet meals and breathtaking sunrises. Spend your days fishing barramundi, exploring bush tracks on foot or bike, or discovering the outback on a scenic helicopter flight. By afternoon, unwind by the wet-edge MagnaPool overlooking the colourful scenery with champagne or craft beer in hand, and end your night by the campfire or sipping cocktails amid the manicured grounds.

Every meal is prepared by their resident cook, who takes delight in exceeding your culinary expectations. Their mouth-watering meals are not complicated, but the quality of the food will have you feeling as though you were being served at a 5 star restaurant. We understand that you are not escaping the hustle and bustle of the real world to then encounter complicated food.

THE LODGE

The Lodge offers modern and elegant accommodation and caters for maximum 10 guests in 5 courtyard suites, each with its own private daybed and courtyard.

The Lodge features a spacious, open lounge area and boasts both indoor and outdoor dining areas. Make use of the entertainment room, verandas and a Magna © Magnesium wet edge infinity pool overlooking the spectacular Crystalbrook Lake.

Each luxury Courtyard Suite features a double zipper king bed with a spacious bathroom. Wake to the sounds of the outback and soak in the serenity in your suite’s private courtyard with daybed – the perfect place to recharge.

Indulge the mind and relax the body with a pick from our private library. Here you will find everything from novels to an eclectic range of magazines, historic books and a wide reference library on wildlife and birds.

The entertainment room is located in the centre of the lodge.

Appointed with comfortable sofas and beanbags, you can sit back and choose from a range of movies and documentaries (Foxtel and AppleTV available) or muse over the photos you took during the day.
