The true explorers experience, this trip takes you to one of the most remote and acclaimed fishing spots in Australia – where the fish are plentiful, the waters are crystal clear and the scenery is picturesque.

As one of our newest trips, be one of the first to discover the myriad fishing opportunities on offer, from fly fishing to blue water, creek or reef, this region has it all. Marine life is abundant, with everything from dolphins, sea turtles, crocodiles and manta rays to the native dugong to be seen.

One of the most remote locations in the Northern Territory, the Mini Mini system offers a huge supply of creeks to fish and explore, with a variety of creek, river and reef fishing to suit the most intrepid fisherman.

Along with Queen Fish, Giant Trevally, and bottom dwellers, there are Mangrove Jack, Threadfin and, if the weather gods smile on us, Bluewater Tuna and Mackerel.

A Barra fishers dream, you’ll get the chance to catch a Metery – a real trophy to impress the fellas back home. With many areas inaccessible by road, this charter lets you experience the beauty of this mostly untouched region up-close and personal.

Unparalleled scenery and a variety of fishing opportunities – creek, river, reef and blue water.

Prepare for a sportfishing extravaganza with Coral Trout, Blue Bone, Jewfish, Queenfish, Barramundi, Mangrove Jack, Threadfin and Spanish Mackerel just a few of the catches you’ll boast about!

The MV Cannon sleeps 8 guests in four surprisingly roomy, air-conditioned cabins which always have an unlimited supply of fresh water for showers.

Each tinny seats two fishermen and their personal guide, and gives you the freedom to fish and explore the hidden nooks and crannies that other large charter ships can’t access. Talk about an office with a view…

All lures and fishing gear are provided for you on our trips – and we have some of the best equipment out there!

You’ll get to try out some of the top gear from Shimano, G Loomis, Diawa and we also have bait caster and spinning reels available if you are that way inclined.

Our lures and soft plastics are from professional brands like Zman, Halco, and Gulp, and you can even try your hand at net casting at certain locations and spots along the way. All gear is provided on a ‘replace if lost’ basis – so be prepared to hold on tight when you hook that thrashing Barra!

    Meals & Drinks

Consistently rated 5-star by their guests, the food we serve aboard the Cannon is the kind of quality you didn’t think possible on a fishing charter.

Expect fine dining as our onboard chef whips up restaurant-quality meals made from local and regional food, along with the catch of the day.

Be quick to be the one to catch his latest request and you can claim all the credit at dinner that night!

Served by the chef himself, you’ll be impressed as he explains the ingredients and flavours of each artfully-presented dish.

Enjoy steak, lamb cutlets or freshly-caught fish, followed by gourmet desserts of chocolate mud cake or a deconstructed lemon tart…

    Is your mouth watering yet?
