We love to buy fishing gear even if we have the same thing in 10 different colours it just seems to be the colour that we think will catch fish.
Cobourg has that gear already as they know how to catch barra!
Most importantly of all, I get no kickback from anyone to do with recommendations like this. I only use BCF & Anaconda as they are a national stores that do their online delivery process efficiently. Also, they are pretty good at sorting out a refund or a return if anything fails.
I’m not going to fill this page with fish photos either… That’s your job to catch the fish. These are just the extra things that I would consider taking.
I love Barra Fishing:
These things (The Jackall SDD Squirrel 115) are almost as expensive as Gold so make sure you always recheck your knots and change your leaders. They are rigged with owner ST58 (tough) trebles. They are not going to let you down. You need to practice with them a bit as they have a steep dive action getting you down to the barra. Cast a few in clear water to see how they swim.
The Barra Classic has caught more big barramundi for me than any other lure. +10 (casting) and +20 (trolling). I love the Silver Ghost but the Black Mullet has caught a lot of fish. Once you get the feel for how they bounce off timber and snags you will never want to take them off you line.
If I could only take one lure fishing anywhere in Northern Australia theThe original Gold Bomber GOLD GOLD and only GOLD would be it. I caught my first barra on one and many many more since. I always have 3 of these with me! The gold bomber rock and roll has caught more barra than any other lure. .
These are tricky to use but will get you fish!

There is so much literature out there, and depending on the person’s sponsorship and/or budget, you get as much information as you can possibly digest. The most expensive is not necessarily the best and often, neither is the cheapest.
