Two Decades of Discovery
Just over 20 years ago, Nick Bowles (aka Mr Ocean Active) began exploring the endless beaches of Central and Southern Oman. Local fishermen spoke of an island chain 30 miles off the coast of Shwaimiyah called Kuria Muriah.
They told stories of 'Sheem'—a predatory hunter we know today as the Giant Trevally. What started as exploration became a global fishing map destination. Within three years, Nick and his Omani partners established trips to Hallaniyat, creating a legend that endures today.
